Community Engagement

You can get involved in one of many community engagement activities that focus on identifying and articulating key systemic issues in the community and their root causes.

DPNC activities are planned and developed using community development and health promotion strategies in order to support local advocacy, capacity building and mediation efforts.  Under the lead of the Community Development and Health Promotion Coordinator, DPNC programs undertake collaborative programs that address precarious living conditions associated with low income, underemployment, unemployment, lack of adequate and affordable housing, limited access to medical care and healthy food, living without immigration status, low literacy skills, and profound social isolation.
